WHO WE ARE
"Here to Serve, Here to Stay"
Jacksonville, Florida is located on the Atlantic coast in the northeast corner of the state of Florida. Jacksonville is the second largest city by area in the United States.
The metropolitan area of Jacksonville contains 1,733,937 residents. Jacksonville is characterized by a fast growing population, U.S. military facilities, industrial, continuous commercial and residential development, multiple sports venues, and year round outdoor activities.
Horizon Community Development Corporation (HCDC) is located in the heart of Jacksonville’s Grand Park Community, in the city’s northwest quadrant. Founded in 1997, our non-profit corporation sponsors educational programs, social programs and community development projects. Grand Park is a low income blighted community with a multi-racial population. Our immediate focus is to improve the Grand Park community, but over the years our organization’s work has impacted the entire northwest quadrant of Jacksonville.
Mission Statement
Horizon Community Development Corporation’s mission is to improve the Grand Park Community’s health, safety and welfare using community programs, vested professionals and a variety of funding sources.
